International Tax Manager
Alorica is looking for an international tax manager to oversee its foreign operations. Alorica has approximately $2.5B in revenue, more than 100,000 employees in 140 locations across 16 countries. Alorica’s corporate headquarters is located in Irvine, CA. Alorica Provides global Business Process Outsourcing (“BPO”) solutions to their clients. The Company assists clients by providing customer care services such as front and back-office customer service, product and technical support, help desk support, and chat and email programs.
The international tax manager will be responsible for managing the international income tax reporting, tax compliance and related tax planning functions. Coordinates with our international tax departments. Manages the accurate completion of tax returns in order to optimize the tax obligations of the organization. Prepares/reviews ASC 740 tax provision analysis and calculations. Assists with income tax audits. Consults with other organization units on a variety of international and federal tax issues. The position reports directly to the VP, Global Tax.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS*
Manage federal (5471 and 8858) tax compliance functions to insure accuracy and timeliness of corporate income and other related tax filings.
Interface with domestic and foreign outside tax advisors.
Monitor new tax legislation to determine impact to the company.
Comply with Country by Country reporting.
Research and analyze potential tax savings strategies or tax exposure items.
Assist in coordinating and managing international income tax audits.
Assist with the year-end tax provision for the audited financial statements.
Review of statutory financial statements and tax provision.
Maintain company’s intercompany transfer pricing arrangements.
Assist in the forecasting and planning of tax payments for budgeting and cash flow purposes.
Consult with other areas of the company on various domestic and international tax issues.
Prepare and review correspondence with tax authorities and outside tax advisors.
Assist with special projects.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Master’s degree in taxation and/or CPA preferred.
Strong communication skills essential
Working knowledge of Thomson Reuter’s software including OneSource Tax Provision, Income Tax and Oracle accounting software.
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in international tax.
Experience with IRS and foreign taxing authorities preferred.
